This Wednesday I attended my first ever Sewing Meet up in Amsterdam. So much fun!
Thanks Rachel, Janou and our special guest Tasia from Sewaholic for a great day and tons of sewing inspiration!
We had a delicious lunch at De Bakkerswinkel where we chatted and exchanged little gifts while enjoying our food. After a short pit stop at A Boeken we made the 45 minute trip to Kantjeboord. Fabric heaven in the middle of a residential area. I'm so happy to have finally discovered this store!
Kantjeboord is world famous for their lingerie supplies, but I can assure you that the regular fabric selection is equally impressive.

The color range in satin, crepe, voile and ponte is unlike any other fabric store in Amsterdam and the prices are very reasonable. I limited myself to one purchase, but I will be back very soon!
Sad that you've missed this meet up? You will have another chance this weekend!
Tasia and Belgian sewing bloggers will meet Saturday in Antwerp.
Contact Lieke of Bouquet of buttons for more information.
Everyone is welcome to join!
Date: Saturday May 23th
Location: Antwerp
Ooh! Let's meet up at Kantjeboord soon!
ReplyDeleteI went there in 2012 from London and I still dream of visiting again. Last time I was overwhelmed by the amount of choice and only bought a few things. Next time I hope to be more prepared.
ReplyDeleteWow, Kantjeboord looks great! I don't have any experience in sewing lingerie, but this shop makes me want to sew a lot of lingerie! And nice to know that they have a great regular fabric section as well. I need to visit it someday!
